How?

I work one to one and with groups.

I can work outside with you, or indoors and on Zoom. I teach 8 week Mindfulness courses on Zoom. I can also teach, coach and facilitate indoors at a venue. 

Work with me to learn, reflect, celebrate, explore, develop, plan, consider, meditate, or simply be. 

Our work outside could include, for example, support with planning something in particular, moving through some stuckness, gaining fresh perspectives or generating clarity. We may work through something else yet to be imagined. 

I work with a playful open spirit, acknowledging that we do not know what comes next, and attempting to hold uncertainty and beliefs lightly.

We’ll begin with a short Zoom consultation to discuss what you wish us to explore together. This will take place before we organise our first session. 

Many people find one and a half hours is an appropriate time for a one to one session. 

Longer and shorter sessions are available.  

Different approaches include working with me for a full or half day, once or several times.

Examples of Outside Thought include:

Working one to one with a Chief Executive through a challenging period of growth and change, I coached and walked with them many times over a period of one and a half years. 

When I facilitated a group of Directors of Literature Organisations I walked with them and facilitated them to walk and talk with each other to support their vision and challenges around their leadership and change management, and to walk out and creatively think through future plans.  

When I worked with Local Authority staff team to facilitate development of their new cultural strategy, we went outside into the car park, and used the different spatial perspectives to move through options and possibilities. 

I can facilitate half day, full day sessions and more durational work to develop responses to different challenges. 

Working outside varies widely in time needed. For example, walking and reflecting with artists on their practice and professional development can take an hour or two, for at least three sessions. Other people have preferred a longer duration of working with me, over a year or more with regular sessions. 

Where? 

Individual outdoor sessions usually take place around the Calder Valley area. Please discuss with me if you are interested in working with me elsewhere in the UK.

I can also run courses or sessions at a venue. Mindfulness courses are currently online.

I will be following any Covid guidelines and regulations and would expect you to do the same.
